Hatch question.

My hatch doesn't close all the way unless you force it shut on the right side. I think the right hinge is bent, but you can close it forcefully, but if you close it forcefully the hatch window doesn't shut. It kinda just sits there. If I leave the right side open, and hatch window closes. I don't understand why the window closes when the tailgate isn't shut all the way, but if you shut the tailgate all the way, you can't shut the window. I don't really wanna spend money I don't have to, but who does?

Any help and thoughts are appreciated. Thanks fellas.

ok, sooooo... When I went to take pictures, I opened the tailgate, and when I went to close it, I almost broke one of the hinges, with it squeeking and it bent so bad, I had to push the whole damn thing down to get it to shut the hatch window. So obviously it is the hinge, lol. Where is a cheap place to get it a tailgate hinge at? I'm going to call around, but I'm sure the junkyards want more than the whole car is worth for one (not really, but an assload none the less.) so if you guys know of a good place to order one offline, or if someone has one, tell me please.

Opinions appreciated.

lol, you don't understand this place. The guy that owns it thinks the parts are worth a brand new price, when all the cars in there have been totalled.

there should be more then 1 around you. make a day trip of it. Find some friends who need some parts and take a little road trip to a better one...

Walk around the junkyard for a while.. snag the hinge and pocket it...(if you call out the Yoink.. then its not stealing, true story.) walk around some more... then wipe a boogie on the dude/owners car window as you leave.

lmfao. There aren't many junk yards around here that you can freely walk around. Most of them are more or less just "sit here while the mexican goes and get it." And I'm not kidding when I say the mexican. The one I've been to actually has a mexican that can barely speak any english that they have to go get the stuff people want.
