Saloon Bonnet on a Hatch
Posted: Sat Mar 13, 2010 4:34 amHi i've had a look through tons of threads and just wanted to know if a saloon bonnet will my Lsi Hatch. I know many try the other way round .The lacquer on mine is coming off in bonnet length patches and i haven't found decent Milano Red hatch panels anywhere.
I'm trying to hold off a respray for a few months but the bonnet is down to bare paint now and rust is just starting.
There's a Red saloon 94 Lsi in good condition just mechancial issues at the local breakers . I bought a factory new wing to be sprayed as the old one is rusty now anyway and bumper is peeling too but only plastic so not urgent.
Its a basic run around at the moment that i might fully respray later in the year as it has various other bodywork niggles so i'm not fussed for now about fitment or looks just keeping rust at bay.
I know it'll be longer than the hatch but aslong as it bolts on the same and the catch works on the front its fine.
