Okay i just got a 92 civic SI with a newer D15B engine.
it was running rough so i bought a new cap and rotor for it.

i install the cap and rotor and then start it up.
starts amazing, go to the end of my drive way and she stalls.

take off the new parts and try to put on the old, No start
Try new cap, old rotor. Old cap, new rotor.
Still nothing. try playing with the timing. Nothing!

it turns over, no start.

my car is currently and the edge of my driveway hanging onto a busy street.
its dark and cold and id really like to move my car.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Please and Thanks You! :(

make sure you have the plug wires on there correctly....and make sure they are on there...also check the dizzy's wires that go to the harness make suire nothings loose....

if it started up fine and stalled it might no should be something simple.....is it possible to push your car back or grab one of your parents cars get a strap and tow it back slowly....

but yea if you have another dizzy id try that just in case its not that stupid sensor in the dizzy.....

do you have any check engine lights?

okay ill go and check the plugs right now.

i did not tamper with the dizzy wires but i will check that also.

it wasnt a stall. i had it in neutral and it slowly cut out, like a stall.

Thanks for the quick response!! :)

no problem with the quick response thats the first thing i look for is posts that people need help on.....

but yea i mean not saying it happened but to be honest you may have hit/tapped etc... something accidentally im thinking it has something to do with the dizzy thats all....and if you have a check engine light that might give you a heads up to what it might be.....

yeah Thanks so much
Just wrote down the firing order. about to go into the cold again.

i do not have an Engine light on. and i went to go use the jumper to check for codes and i did not find it?
and when i did find i 2 wire plug it was attached to the side of a bigger plug already plugged into something? haha.

anyways is it possible i fried my dizzy driving it for those few seconds?
any fuses i should check? ignition coil? think thats insde the dizzy?

check underhood fuses since who knows there might be something blown for your ecu and things have happened like that where it was on its way out to begin with and you may have blown a sensor in your dizzy which is common.....but to be honest check all your fuses

okay just got back out from the cold.
turns out i dont have any spark. tried testing with the old parts and new.

somehow between the 2 seconds i drive it something failed?

is my dizzy shot? or is it something else? i was told the ICM is bad?
I have Noooo idea what that is.

Ign. control module....

well if its a d15b i think you can use a D15b7 dizzy with it or something like that....id try and get it back up the driveway and try and locate a dizzy to test.....

like i said it might just be something that was going and haveing a brand new part making it work differently caused something to happen.......

but yea to be honest id jsut go ahead and try to get it out of harms way.....

also did you check all your fuses thats the first step since dizzy's depending on where you are could be a bit expensive btu yea shouldnt be too much

not completely sure if you could repair it or not.......

And im unsure but i think the d15b vtec motor you can use the nonvtec dizzy's such as from the d15b7......

but yea i think if you look it up in the book you may be able to test it with a ohm meter or something like that...

td-42u seems to be the dizzy im comming up with for the d15b and if you can get a dizzy from a 92-95 d15b7 it should work as well....

okay so let me get this straight?
the D16 Vtec head has the dizzy with the bolts a bit off.

and the D15 vtec head are the same as non vtec?

if so ill have no problem getting a dizzy for it.
