Sounds like you need to double check all of your wiring.... Check your grounds first.
if a jump start didn't do it, then I'd bet on an electrical problem.
Did you do anything else besides the dash?

well i gutted the interior and the previous owner had a sound system so i did a whole bunch of wire cutting and pulling but all of which had to do w/ the stereo system and neon lights he had in there. there's a black wire that looks like a ground on the harness behind the cluster but idk where that goes :? . and there was a single black wire that ran into that same harness i cut to take the dash out but i'm not sure if that was part of the stereo or not :o

when you did the dash did you swap the steering colunm with it . if you did you might want to check the key cylinder

i agree with teal... i bet its a ground. my cuz sold an sr swapped s13 cuz he couldnt get it to start. it was just a bad ground. recheck all your wires. the black wire could have been the antenna for the radio or... a ground. :thumb:

okay so i took all your advice and this is what happened.. the car would crank slow so i tried to push start it almost worked but just me pushing wasn't gonna do it. so i checked all the grounds and wiring again and remembered the ground where the fuse box is under the hood. tightened it and it cranked harder so i jumped it w/ my other car and voila!! :woot: thanks for all the help guys i can always find assurance coming to civic eg :P
