Hey I am teaching myself how to welld, I have been getting better and better everyday, so when I am ready I am gonna build my own cage. My question is does anybody know of a site or anything that has specs or pics of how a cage should be built in a eg hatch, like how many points, bars etc etc.

Build it to NHRA specs and you'll never have a problem.

If you're putting it into your daily... or regardless actually make sure you wrap the bars in approved foam, because in the case of an accident you don't want to bounce your head off of it

Foam or not, a roll over or serious wreck in a car with a cage you head will play ping pong off the bars in the area. Cages in daily driven cars are dumb. Unless you wear a helmet all the time.

Man, there is a lot more then just knowing how to weld that goes into a cage. If you you don't get your heat zones right, your cage will twist up like a pretzel. Good luck
