maybe ur filter is clogged up. have u let the tank get low or empty lately? when was the last time u changed it? if it wont stay on after a cold start clean ur iacv and ur fitv on the intake manifold.

it may depends i mean if the alternators good and you pop-start it your getting electricity from that because the motors spinning well....now if its the starter which it may be id tap it or something to see if you could free it up....but this happened to me where the starter was working perfectly fine for a bit then quit on me and yet it also worked here and there before it completely went on me......tapping the starter may not work all the time it just free's it up somewhat....if its possible and you feel ok doing it jump the two terminals on the starter to see if it just clicks or turns the motor over.....if it dose this(since you said your battery was ok) then yea you should be able to see fi your starters ok now make sure its in neutral and the key on when doing this or it wont work.....
