so i want to take off my moldings so if anyone could help me out with where to start or point me to a good DIY thread that would be awesome thanks

They need to be taken off from the inside, i am pretty sure. Just take off the door panels and pop them out with a flat-head. There are probably other ways though.

take your time the clips break easy

use some needle nose pliers and there's a screw that's right where the door latch is when you first open the door that needs to be removed as well

ya i took them off and managed to not break any clips but the area where the screw was was rusted so it broke when i tried to undo it but oh well it still sits flush i think im gonna need to invest in some thin side moldings mine are pretty beat up thanks for the help guys much appreciated

it doesn't matter really. the screw on my passenger door was rusted too and broke and one of the clips next to it and it still sat flushed lol
