Splash guards?

Wow, splash guards? He means the arches around the rear wheel wells.

I unfortunately wouldn't know where you could get a reputable pair though.

Oh, that rubber lining thingy lol
Why would he want to put that?
I have it. And I don't like it. Am afraid to take it off cus I don't know how the paint will be under there after I peel it off.

I didn't know I was gonna have to give a lesson in this but...

Image

A rear arch. The piece of METAL that comprises the "arch" of the wheel well.

These kinds of terms are VERY generously thrown around with many people not really knowing the exact meanings of them.

To be exact: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quarter_panel

He's only talking about the arches, which is the metal that immediately surrounds the wheel well.

But let's just drop this and get back on topic.

He was talking about the rubber strip that most civics have on the inner rear fender lip... Fail returned

The rubber strip can hold salt & water in, yes. But it also protects the paint on the inside of the lip from rock chips, which will eventually lead to surface rust. So it's a lose-lose situation? Pretty much, if you drive a EG in winter then it's gonna rust eventually unless you coat the inside of the 1/4 & rockers with oil before winters. You might also try putting a bead of silicone or grease in that piece of rubber trim and put it back on to the inner lip. Then there's no where for water to sit inside.

Thanx teal.

Yes civictyper I was talking bout the rubber strip on the inner rear fender. So sorry I won't be joining you today on the fail boat lol.

I didn't even know he wanted the (arch) because of rust problems. He didn't state it on his first post.
