I'm thinking about trying it, either with genuine CTR molding and some retrofitting, or with something similar looking and hopefully the same width as my side molding.

Any thoughts?

CTRs did not come with the bumper moldings, Just the SiR model.

eg's don't have that channel

its actual an edm option and those moldings are stick on
ICB has some but they are pricey

probably, but it look way to ghetto.
i would leave your bumper alone and just save up for the legit ish.
once you get them, make sure you keep your receipt so if you get into a collision you can get some money back
