Posted: Wed Jul 07, 2010 4:33 amthat's a little rough IMO, I think it would be easy to leave some deep scratches. I would recommend something more like 400 grit to give the paint something to bite to.

Posted: Wed Jul 07, 2010 2:53 pmI 100% agree with teal! Even though you maybe not be able to physically see the scratches left by 400 grit, they are most definitely there and will allow the paint/primer to stick better. Good lucky! I'm doing the same thing as you soon!
