having a problem with my bonnet catch, it seems everytime i drop the bonnet, the catch unit gets pushed down on the mounting bolts meaning its to low for the bonnet to catch into place..
has anyone else had this problem?

Isn't the latch / catch assembly adjustable? I know it is on 96-00 civics. If you loosen all 3 or 4 bolts that hold it to the chassis, you can slide it up or down a little and then tighten the bolts back down.
What made this just start happening? Or has it always been a problem? Was your car ever in an accident on the front end?

yeah is slightly adjustable, but is at the top as far as it can be.
no front end damage to my knowledge, looks clean and unbent.
i bout the car off the road, and it didnt have a bonnet catch when i bought it. now that the car is almost ready to be put back on the road i had to fit a catch.
tried three different catches but same problem with all.

You may actually have it too high. The latch only has a certain amount of tolerance in both directions. Try lowering the catch slightly and see if ti solves your problems.
