I like that Rim Design, Very awesome. I also actually like them in gold  Teal and Blue Civics look awesome in Gold Rims IMHO.

I Painted my 15x8 Rims a Metallic Dark Grey, with a Metallic Light Grey lip.

I did this mainly as I couldn't stand looking at my Rims looking ugly. So I cleaned them up, Sanded them and Painted. Overall they look good on my Car.

If your car is a light color, I think those Rims Polished will look awesome.
If you decide on Repainting, I highly recommend 2-3 layers of clear coat at a Minimum when done.

Duplicolor or VHT are the only products I would use. there's a lot of crap out there

I used Duplicolor Texture Metallic Coating, 1 can of the lightest color, 1 of the darkest. And a Can of Duplicolor Clear Coat.

Duplicolor Products have worked good for me. The Reason I went with them is they are sold Locally, If I run out of Paint the store is 3-4 Minutes away from my house. However the Quality of the Paint is quite good. I highly recommend this paint.

If you go the painting route, Which will probably end up happening, I would highly recommend using Primer. Then as I stated before, Clear coat when done.

If you decide to Polish your rims Teal_dx made a DIY, He Also made one for Painting Rims.
Both have Material Lists in them.

I used Duplicolour as well, bonds EXTREMELY well and has an amazing finish, and also sold locally :thumb: .

Clean, scrub, sand, clean, tape off lip portion. Paint rest of rim, take off tape and re-tape painted portion (after 5 days so it is fully bonded). Now you paint the lip, then once it's bonded take off the tape and clearcoat the entire thing.

Of course that's a very brief, quick explanation. Expect to spend a few hours prepping each rim if you're doing it right. Just ask yourself before you move on "Can I do anymore, or am I shortchanging this step?" Cutting corners and quickening the project will result in a lower quality finish. Take your time, do it right and it'll look pro :thumb:

This is a good way to do it. However I did mine differently. I cleaned the heck out my rims, sanded, cleaned more, etc then Painted the lips. Waited for them to dry, Masked off the Lips then painted the rest of the Rims.

Either way you do it, it will take a while. I dont know how much prep time i put in, alot anyways, then 3-4 hours of painting the rims(including time bewteen coats and drying). You will get what you put into it.
