I'd buy a set of cheap Rota's I could just f' up any day, just because they do exactly the same, and they're strong and rigid enough for spirited driving.
The ONLY advantage the real deal has over Rota's; they have nicer finishes, but just barely.

When doing trackdays, it really is worth the extra money, it'll reward you with better handling and faster laptimes, but when driving home from work, paying some good old B-roads with a visit, a set of Rota's is as good as a set of Works, Volks, Gram Lights, etc.
