What size does he have on it now? I had 16s on my old coupe and I was running 215/40r16 Yokohama S. Drives they were great tires (A little pricey) and I had no issues with fitting them on the car and I was tucking the tire on Mugen knock offs. I can't seem to find any pictures of the car on my work PC.

Just say the pic's of the car with the wheels. You could use a wide variety of sizes. What is you plan ?
Slammed or Comfort ?
195/40-16
195/45-16
205/40-16
205/45-16
205/50-16
215/40-16
215/45-16

All depends on how low you are going to put the car.

205/40R16 is perfect for a 16x7 wheel. That will keep the overall diameter (and your speedometer) closest to stock.

Had 215/45/16 on my old hatch. Honestly on a hatch a prefer a 15" with a meaty tire. I run the 225/50/15 Mickey Thompson DOT radial now and I love the look of it, even on a coupe

the wheels i wanna buy have a 205/45 tire which rubbed really bad on my fenders i called all my local tire shops and none seem to have 195-40 16 tires used only 195-55-16 so i am wondering if ill be able to fit those without rolling my fenders or rubbing, im getting these wheels just for now cuz im tired of looking at my LS webs  and i don't want to dig any deeper for money then i have to

205/40/16 should be ok.
i rubbed a bit when i had 205/40s...which lead me to a slight roll to clear.

now i upped them to 205/45s and they rub
im just gunna roll my fenders a bit more :]

Ill , What offset r your wheels ?
I have had 205/45 on many civic in the past with no rub.
Hell, I had at one time 19 on the car.
215/35/19 with airbags when that was pop.
