#350909 Like the title says, I'm looking for tires for a 15x10 wheel, and I don't want very much stretch. Preferably no stretch. Trying to decide between a 205/60, 205/55 or a 225/50.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance! :thumb:

#350911 On my wife tl the rims are 9.5 wide. it has a 245/40 tires and it sits flush with the rim. Even with the 225/50 your going to have stretch. my rim are 8.25 wide and I am running 195/45, and its a mild stretch. my best advise would be to have a few different sizes mounted before you purchase. Its very hard to say without installing and mounting the wheels. Cant wait to see them installed. not to many people run a 10 wide :thumb:

#350925 I voted other because they will all have stretch. 225 on an 8" wheel will be square. I think you'll need some stretch to make it work.

It will probably take a 265 width tire to be square on a 10" wide rim which probably isn't going to fit in the wheel wells of a civic.

#350930 I'm telling you, 255 and 265 is a WIDE tire. I know you have flares, but those only help so much depending on how low you are. I'm guessing you'll be slammed to get the negative camber you need. A 225/45 is already a lot of meat on a 92-95 civic:

A 255 will be ~30mm wider, a 265 will be ~40mm wider (some manufacturers are a little wider than others)

Even if the insides of the tires don't rub the inner fenders, the outers will rub, if you run a square tire on a 15x10 wheel. Especially when you turn.

If you want the square look, I wouldn't have used a 10" wide wheel. You'll need some stretch for 10".

#350932 Oh yeah its a huge tire. I just did some measuring. With a 255 tire I wouldn't be able to turn full lock because of the negative offset of the wheel. It would end up hitting the the inner wheel well. Unfortunately I can't find a tire wider than a 225 in a price range I could afford. If price weren't an issue I'd grab toyo proxes ra1's for 250$ a piece and call it a day.
Looks like I'll have to put up with some stretch from the 225. Oh well.
