#338437 ok guys im kinda a n00b when it comes to painting , so i want to know how do i get my hx wheels to look like this ?
the wheels are currently some dirty grey color what will i need to strip them and polish them? what kind of red paint should i use?
i dont have a compressor so i will have to use spray paint!

#338510 It's easy to do :thumb:
The lips have a slight ridge where you want the color to stop, so it's easy to mask off the lip with tape.
I would polish by wet sanding the lip before painting. That way you just mask off the polished lip and paint the centers. Then there won't be a chance you scuff up your fresh red paint while wetsanding.

Red wheel paint might be hard to find, but red engine enamel paint will work just as good. Just be sure it is Enamel formula, not Lacquer and it will hold up for a long time, if all the prep work is done right and you follow the directions on the can.
