hey guys so I want to buy some 15x8 +20 offset wheels for my EG but I am having doubts about it. I want my car to be a track car so I need a nice aggressive stance to fit some meat on that wheel. I plan on putting some 225/50 or 45/15. the car isn't ridiculously low either.

What are your doubts about it?

would there be any clearance issues or maybe the tire size I want to buy isn't the right one, Just trying to get input.

There won't be any clearance issues if you're not going to lower it. It WILL stick out though. Are you getting a wider rim to have more ground?

what style driving will you be doing? are you ok with mexipoke?

I am going to be tracking the car, streets of willow springs is the closest one, date wise (next week) I don't mind mexiflush as long as it doesn't stick out to far.

They look like 6UL by 949Racing which come in a +36 offset.

+20mm rims would be pushed out 16mm further than +36mm rims of the same width.

this is a friend's eg hatch with 15x7 +20 with 195/50/15. he was previously on 195/55/15 but had clearance issues...theres about a 1 finger gap between wheel n fender.





he only drags the car and daily drives it... he never tracks it so clearance issues while on track wont be apparent to him. but i would assume its gonna give u problems with the tire size u plan on fitting...especially considering my friend had to go with a slightly lower profile tire..

personally, i found it..."interesting" at most....i didnt quite like the look of it as it jotted out a lil too much for my liking and there really wasnt enough camber on his setup.

why not get the 949Racing 6UL wheels? theyre easily available in the states and seem quite cheap.... awesome fitment ith EGs too and come in 15x8 +36 so u wont have much clearance issues

another alternative would be the 15x8 +35 Enkei PF01... Rota slipstream also comes in the same fitment.

Also would like to add that people always think that wider is better. Not always the case. These are small light weight cars so a 15x7 wheel with a good tire will be plenty for traction. People have been using 15x7 without problems for a couple of decades before companies started making 15x8 4x100 wheels.
