how to tell forged or cast wheel?

i've been searching up n down on the web about this.. How do you tell forged or cast rims, by visual or sound.. do they make different sound when it knock?? or any feel on surface.. people are selling fake rims at price of orginal ones these day..
btw .. bust my wheel the other day.. maybe lookin' for forged ones..

forged are typically lighter and more expensive. Usually the manufacturer will specify if a wheel is forged because it helps to justify the higher cost of the wheel.
I've seen some forged wheels that have "forged" stamped somewhere on the wheel, others dont.

upload a list of wheel form wheelsweight.net. my buddy told to be extra carefull when buying rims these day. compare photo's of original rim so ou know how to spot fake ones..
btw.. will 15" ssr type x with 35 offset fit my ed sedan nicely? will the tyre scrubs?
