Happy New Year!
I'm going to swap my engine with a newer one. I'd like to do it over 2 weekends (or more), and my plan is to:
1. Take the old engine out in the garage in the 1st weekend;
2. Roll the car to the driveway;
3. Roll the car back into the garage in the 2nd+ weekend;
4. Install the new engine in the garage; and
5. If necessary (starting problems, etc.), roll the car back to the driveway.
For 1. and 2., the drive axles and then the engine will be removed. Could I reattach the damper fork, lower control arm, and steering knuckle and then put the front wheels back on so that I can roll and steer the car?
Thanks in advance!
