#317909 hey everyone,

ok i done some research but couldn't find an answer.
my problem is:

-my coilovers dont have a locking collar located at the far bottom of the coilovers thread (pic below)

- is there a way i can lower it abit more (still looks stock height)

- if i loosen the 2 collars the spring will become loose and flop around, should i get spacers ontop of the spring or just buy new coilovers alltogether?

heres pic:

thanks for your help in advance :)

#317930 but isnt that the locking collar? if i lower just that one the top one will unthread and be very unsafe

i thought they are meant to be locked tightly together :?

#317936 yeah, that is the locking collar. you would move both collars down the threads to change your ride height. however if you go too low you'll have a gap between the top of the spring and the top mount when you lift the car on a jack. if you dont want any spring gap, or your traffic laws dont allow it, look into getting helper springs.

they look like these. they are a very light compression spring, that will compress almost entirely when the car isnt on a lift or stands.
usually you have to buy the springs individually and then buy the spacers for them.
