#283354 I've got a BONE STOCK 1993 eg. The ride belonged to my grandfather for the first 50,000 miles. He was a large man and I feel that due to his weight the car now sags on the left side very slightly. I'd like to update the springs and shocks with something aftermarket but keep the ride height basically the same. I'm not used to modifying my car that much, so what do you think would the best and most economical way to do this? Thanks.

#283361 Best guess, how much would it cost to have the front two shocks replaced, labor only?

#283384 Well here's a idea of price the shop I work at charges 89.95 per hour. But honestly you can have it done way cheaper. Or whith a jack and jack stands and basic hand tools and you can rent a spring compresser for cheap. :thumb:

#283385 I personally believe that kyb's and tokico blues are a waste of money. Unless you can get them for a fair price compaired to going to the autoparts store and getting stock replacements then I would not bother with them. They are basically stock replacements. And since you basically want it to remain more like stock I recommend tein s tech springs. The only time i'd recommend tein anything!

#283416 Thanks for all the feedback! Keep it comin'.

Here's the thing. I would simply get the factory oem shocks replaced, but i feel that getting something aftermarket would be better and maybe even less expensive; from all the reviews I've read people say that KYB were like replacing the stock shocks but with slightly improved performance... whatch'all think?

Also, I think if i do this, I'm only going to have the front shocks replaced as the back don't seem bad at all. My car really sags to the font left what with the weight of my grandfather along with the engine and steering column. Is this wise or is an all-around job necessary?

#283443 If you want to replace the shock and the springs then just do a simple setup like a neuspeed spring with a koni or skunk2 spring and shock setup you can find deals on ebay that gives the whole set for a reasonable amount of money.

Or for a bit more money you can go with a full coilover
