ball joint question

sooo
im going to be doing a bushing install
and my question is
can i take apart the front suspension with out having to replace my lower ball joint
i took them off before with one of those forks when i replaced them
i know you can use a puller but i cant find anything small enough
advice

prybar and a hammer have always worked for me. unbolt the ball joint put a little tension on the suspension and then smack the side where the ball joint mounts and it will pop loose.

kinda confused but yea you dont have to replace the ball joint if you take apart your suspension only need to replace it if its bad and stuff like that....and if you are replaceing it then you dont need a special tool there isa c-clip you pop off and tap out the ball joint and replace with new reinstall new c-clip and done...

i tried that once
it didnt go so well
i squared off the threads on the ball joint
