Lowering / Springs question -

Lowering my EG, Which would be a good drop for 14inch rims? 2inch or 2.5inch drop?

- Will 2.5inch drop be able to get over speed humps without scraping the underneath of the car? How much gap will it leave from the rims and fenders? How much cm off the ground from underneath the car for a 2.5inch drop?

Anyone got pics of a 2.5inch drop or 2inch drop on a Honda Civic EG with 14's?

If you arent scraping, youre not low enough!

2.5 will leave you no gap between the fenders and wheel wells.

2.5inch drop on 14inch wouldn't leave a gap between wheels and fenders, that's good but will it scrape going over speed humps?

Yeh, I'm not from Cali, From Australia, but that didn't answer my question :(

2.5inch will be slammed right? Likely chance to scrape?
2.0inch would be decent? How much would 2.0inch leave between the fenders on 14'inch rims?

2.5 wont really scrape. You should be able to get over speed bumps just fine. Im lower than 2.5 and I can get over them. I dont scrape on much of anything.

It's just the confusion I got atm, when I bought my car the car was already lowered, I think the springs are chopped, but I dunno by how many drop. I got 14inch rims but there is no finger gap between the guards. But it scrapes!

I measured from the underneath and it's like 4cm off the ground I think.

Now just wondering how much will 2.5inch drop with 14inch rims be off the ground by how many CM's from the underneath of the car from the lowest part of the car?

(Also anyone got pics of 2inch drop on 14inch drop, and 2.5inch drop on 14inch pics?)

you should just get adjustable coil-overs. If you get plain old lowering springs they will settle and get lower. If you have adjustable then you can change it however you want.

Image
This is how a -1.5" drop in the frount and a -1.2" in the back will look like when the springs have settled. Once you first put your car on lowering springs it wont look much lower, give a few weeks for the springs to settle before you get it aligned. the above pic is a few months after lowering the car.

a 2" drop will be half an inch lower then this.

Edit: My car is on 15's. I dont have any pics of it on 14's as since it was lowered it has never been on 14's.
