GSR vs. EG

Will an oem rear sway bar from an integra gsr fit on an eg coupe? It currently doesn't have a rear sway bar at all and I found a gsr sway bar in a junk yard. If someone can verify fitment it would mean that I wouldn't have to go work in a 110 degree garage for no reason.
Thanks!

yes, it'll fit. but if it's thicker than 15mm, it'd be a good idea to put a subframe brace in there to avoid tearing your subframe.

Thanks for the head's up. I'll have to check the diameter.
Also, I heard it will only fit if I'm using gsr lower control arms. Is this true?

If you have a non-SI/EX then you'll have to use gsr lca's.

I have Si hatches and neither ever came with a rear sway. only some sedans equiped with abs got the rear sway.

Just to clarify, I have a 95 coupe ex. It doesn't currently have a sway bar on it, which is why I'm looking to put the gsr one on.

right...so you are going to need the LCA's with provision for a rear sway bar, be it aftermarket, the gsr ones or a pair from a 4dr EX :thumb:

So I finally got some time to install this sway bar, but I went a little different direction with the LCAs. I didn't have a set of integra LCAs or others that were mentioned about. However, a friend of mine is a big EF guy and had a set of 89 hatchback Si LCAs with provision for a rear sway bar. We pressed the center bushing out of mine and into the EF LCAs and everything lined up perfectly. The current setup for the rear is:

- KYB adjustable struts for an EK
- Skunk2 coilover sleeves for an EK
- Integra LS rear disc swap
- 1989 civic hatchback Si LCAs with modified EG center bushing to fit EK suspension
- Integra rear sway bar

Gotta love the universal fitment of Honda parts!

And a shot of the car too since I removed the pinstripes too. It needs to go a little lower but I don't have the spanner wrenches. If someone has Skunk2 spanner wrenches let me know!

Did it bolt right up or did you have to drill any holes to the subframe?

The holes already existed in the sub frame so I just held a nut on the back of each and ran the bolts from the integra through. All of the hardware for the sway bar is oem integra hardware that I snagged when I pulled the sway bar out of the junk yard.
