#296904 When i first got my car i wanted a great system but that kinda got put on the back burner while i was trying to get it runnin rite. its out at the tunners now n im thinkin what i can do now.
what i have
some shitty 70 head unit (will be the first to go for sure)
in the doors i have 6 inch kicker 2 ways
in the back i have 2 6 inch pioneer 3 ways
all on an amp. dont know the name off the top of my head. i have been told its awesome and everyone who knows i have it wants to buy it. its a pioneer something.
and some tweeters in the doors (not hooked up yet).

i am going to do the rear seat delete and will prob add some fat mat to the floor. i dont really want to add the weight. would adding it to the floor on the front be more efficient? I already have the doors matted. i will be making a platform so i can still use the back to hold stuff ( need it for work). i was thinking i could add some more speakers to the front of the platform they will be where the back seat used to be. pointing to the front and not up. would this help much? be worth it? what speakers would be good for this? would a sub be best? i want to spend less that 100 on these. and would like to run all these off the same amp. and again weight is a concern with all this.

what head unit should i get? usb is a must, aux and bluetooth would be nice. id like to drop less than 3 on the head unit.
would it be best to run the tweeters separate to the amp or could i tie them into the front speaker wire. i think i know this answer but am getting lazy and hope i am wrong.

#296909 By the time you build up the area where the rear seats were to be level with the rear area, you have plenty of room to build an enclosed sub box. :thumb:

Here's a couple examples I've seen, to give you some ideas:

#296911 First off thanks for the reply.
Yeah that's what I was thinking. Maybe adding a ten to the enclosure. What would you suggest? And what about a head under 300?

#296926 If you're gonna buy a sub it should have it's own amplifier. running components and a sub off the same amp can be done but i wouldn't recomend it.

Good subwoofer's and amps aren't very expensive unless you want competition type of equipment then it's gonna cost major $$. Look to spend around $200 for a decent sub/amp combo.

check out www.sonicelectronix.com, ive always prefered audiobahn subwoofers they perform well and won't break the bank account.
