#240980 ok i want to add four 6x9 speakers in the back on the hatch cover (cardboard area) and i was wondering should i go with making a box and seating it there in place of the cardboard that is already there or jus make the holes and simply seat the speakers there..... what would be the pros and cons of doing either and if you have pics of these setups they would greatly help thanks..

#240983 dont cut holes in ur cargo cover (the wood already there) that is a hard item to find uncut.. try to find the brackets for the rear speakers

thats what i would do, but if u wanna cut em, ive seen people just cut the holes and screw the speakers in

#240988 I've made one from fiberglass before, it's really pretty easy to teach yourself.

#241001 Might I also suggest just using a pair of speakers in back in stead of four. Four might be a little overkill because rears, for the most part, are usually only for fill.
I'd go with a nice set of 3-ways myself and definitely don't cut the back cover, I've seen prices on the few I've seen online and they're not cheap.

#241070 Focus on the front speakers instead. When you go to a concert the music comes from the stage not behind you, so why set your car up that way?

if you have a pic of this it would really help because i dont see where on the cargo cover any brackets can be installed nor have i ever seen any cargo covers on a hatch with speakers unless a hole is cut in the cargo cover... thanks in advance

You can buy the setup new btw www.hondapartsnow.com look under 94-95 si/3dr which ever shows up :thumb: Its not very expensive but when you peice 2 of each that you need being left and right. You'll understand why cutting two holes to accomodate for 6x9 is more commonly done. That and uneducated honda people
