#175090 If remote start fails you can use the alarm's remote start diagnostic. It will give you a morse code like series of beeps telling you what it needs. Besides neutral safety / clutch input, you need hood pin input, you have to have the brake input on the right brake wire, you have to have the starter halves connected to the right wires (green to key side, purple), you have to have all the thick red wires connected properly (some people try to lump them together and then join them to the constant wire but you need to have each of them connected individually), you need to have ignition hooked up, and you need to have the alarm programmed to either manual or automatic mode.

Another thing is tach input. The new DEI alarms have virtual tach. It can tell if the car is running just by the voltage put out by the alternator. But you need to make sure it's programmed to virtual tach and then you have to "learn" the tach. This is in the installation manual.
