Basic Radio Trouble

My radio used to turn on fine, but about a week ago it stopped working while my car is running. I know it does work because when i turn my car off then turn the key to ignition 2 the radio does work, and i can turn it back a click and it still works. I dont know too much about wiring or anything, but im willing to learn if anybody has any suggestions. I have an after market receiver, model JVC KD-S790 which came with my car. Thanks

check all the wires on it. might have a wire not properly coverd and its touching metal causing it to shut off.

I pulled it out, and all the wires are capped together. should i try to reconnect it all you think? I hate being such a nub

it could be a fuse or relay... did you check that?

x2 but then again it seems like it has all power might be the deck that doesnt work
