i was just wondering if i took the air bag off the steering whell will it explode,and how ,do i just drill out all the rivets and put bolts back in,heres a pic of it

im going to drill them and will see what happens

no i got it just drilled all the rivets out and it just slid apart,trust me i was very nervous,exspecially while i was drilling,didnt want to make a spark,now steering wheel is like 10 pounds lighter, my friend used to flip dumpsters with airbags damn those things are loud and stink,but i got it out,once it was out i had to take the detnater off so the bag would come off beacause you have to reuse the bracket so it will bolt back to the wheel

they must not have read the airbag (DANGER POISON) i was in side a garage with the doors closed when we did it,

yeah we flipped a dumpster with one out of a cavalier,that was great lmao

airbags have a capacitor in them which stores electricity then is release which detonates the airbag. thats why your air bag will go off even if your battery is dead. dont tamper with an air bag. static shock can set it off. when carrying it, point it away from yourself

thats what i thought,thats why it took me forever to get it off,but i got it,had my arms stretched as far as i could reach,with it wedged in between the rails on my porch

Well, that's good if you got it out of the plastic cover. But still it was dangerous to do that. You'll never know when bad luck will play with you.

Just a heads up for anyone who wants to tamper with their srs.. They are made to save lives, but not if they are tampered with..
