Right now its well and truly into winter this has become a major problem!!!
Had no heaters since i changed my engine, the vents move and it all lights up but the motor doesnt work at all. Tried another motor that i know works 100% and nothing, so it must be a wiring problem...
Everything is plugged in that i can see so kinda stumped!! My rear demister and passenger wingmirror dont work either so could this all be related?

No fan, i presume the matrix is working but cant really tell as its not blowing anything through the vents!

Your water heater valve might be bad. Its probably stuck. Make sure its opening and closing. Or mayb the wire the runs from the slider to the valve its bent or it came unhooked. So its not opening the valve.

Worked perfect before the swap, i had to change my interior wiring loom so im thinking this may be causing the problems...
The valve is fully open, the slider works fine too - that wouldn't affect the fan though, just the temp. of the air!

Yeah I know. My post came in late. So I read that the fan wasn't working after my post went in lol.
But yea its probably your wiring then. You probably forgot to connect it. Or got a short.

i'm fairly certain that it's related to replacing the wiring. i bet ya that if you take it all apart then put it all together it'll work... usually ends up that way

ill need to take the dash out again to get a proper look at things, this is rubbish

why did you replace the wiring?... did you replace it with the same trim level as your car with the same options?....

My car was OBD0 and the new engine was OBD1
Wiring is out of a 1.5 vtec-e model, my old engine was a 1.5 non vtec. Almost identical trim levels though

Soooo i took the dash out today and everything is plugged in and no obvious breaks or anything like that, all the earths, fuses, relays are good!!
Took the heater controls out but unsure of how to test if theyre good or not, couldnt get anything on the multimeter but i might have been doing it wrong...
Anyone know how to test the fan control switch?

who needs heat anyway? but did you make sure that the wires on the new harness go to the same places and the ones on the old harness? it would be a bitch, but you could hook up the heating parts of the old harness just to make sure its still working that way, maybe even splice those lines into the new harness if it works with the old wiring
