i was driving the other day and i smelled burning plastic but before i pulled over it went away and as i was leaving a parking lot today the car stalled. when i tried to start it the starter turned but the engine didnt. the rpm didnt even budge. my car threw up the CEL so i pulled back the passenger side carpet and the smell was really strong so im guessing i fried something near or connected to the ecu. any ideas? i have a 93 si with a p28-a01 ecu.

Check your ECU fuse. If it is NOT fried, or it is with a greater value than it should be... then... bad for you. I think that if the fuse was exactly what it had to be your ECU should be fine, but if someone swapped the real one with one with a greater value then... again... baaaad.
I wish the ECU is fine and the problem is somewhere else, some wire or something like that.
