Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a way to check if an injector is good or bad?

Haynes says to put a stethoscope to the injector and listening to "pinging" or "clicking" sounds, if there's no noise at all it's probably shot, other than that I'm not sure on how to check on the "quality" of the injector, only if it's working or not.

In place of a stethoscope you can put your ear to a screwdriver and place it against the injector.

thats a good tip, what i did tho was just took a small 9volt battery and connected it to the injectors plug prongs, and listened for the sound. they both "clicked" or "pinged" but i'm still getting a code for injector. I think a friend of mine has a set. i'm going to try them in it then go from there.

If you have access to a multimeter, set it to 10 ohms, unplug the injector harness and test the injector. A good injector will read about 3 ohms.

You didnt fail, I was gonna tell him to take a log screwdriver and put it against the injector and listen to the end of the screwdriver for the clicking. :thumb:

Well when i hook the multi meter up to the injector that i think is bad( the top one) i get a 1.1 ohms, and with the lower injector i get a reading of 7.9 ohms.

I can imagine that the reading on the lower injector is so much higher because of it being the secondary injector.

BTW its for my 88 civic duel point injection.
