Int Wiper mode not working but every other mode works fine..

Everything else works other than the intermediate setting on my wipers. I checked fuses. Any idea what could be wrong? Sometimes it works but just like 20% of the time. Low speed and High speed both works fine. And also when you pull the switch down, the wiper will move once too. Just not the Int mode. I read something about an ICU. I check the wiring on the back of the fuse box to the ICU and it seemed fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated.. Its not a big deal but just bugs me. Thanks..

Problem is inside the ICU. Cracked solder, most likely. Easiest fix is to swap to another one, although this offers no guarantees.

gotcha. how hard is it to take the icu out? I know its in the back of the fusebox and connectors to it. Do i need to remove the fusebox to get to it?

Not remove, but loosen does help. Then get under there and pry out with a stubby flathead from the side (not top or bottom).
