Hi sirs. newbie here, my eg sedan died on me today, suddenly my electricals just went weak, really weak, then died. before that I noticed my guages keep fluctuating- speedo and tach (stock) they kept working and dying. after a couple of kilos my beloved eg died a few feet shy at a mall parking lot. (whew- at least i made it to a proper parking space). tried jumpstarting it, worked for a few minutes but couldnt maintain reving and dies after a few. no lights and power after. Has a new alternator installed, so I can rule that out? Im afraid it might be an ECU prob, but I really woudnt know. please I need experienced advice. Help!

Even tho that alt is new I'd have it checked. Wouldn't be the first time new parts are junk right out the box.

New alternator isn't charging (easy check with voltmeter) or the battery power or ground wires aren't hooked up.
Do the battery terminals have corrosion?
Are the screws holding the power wires in the engine bay fuse box tight?
Is the alternator power wire in good shape?
Are the engine grounds intact. Do they have less than .3 Ohms resistance?
Does not seem like an ECU issue at all. ECU is always at the bottom of every troubleshooting flowchart.
