#323747 Could someone clarify this for me, its a 92 EG Hatch with a full LS Swap in it and i just picked it up about a month ago. I got it with the check engine light on and a high idle.
Any hows the engine idles high all the time and i want it to go to normal mode lol, i figure i'd see what the cel light says but cant seem to read the code properly, i read a 9 but i dont see a cel code for 9

This i've done so far;
Clean IAC Valve with carb cleaner
Check for air leaks with said carb cleaner
Check coolant

#323752 The ECU codes are at the top of the Electrical forum. u need to Search before assuming bud...

http://civic-eg.com/viewforum.php?f=12

and then here..

It's Actually a Sticky so it will always be at the top of the Thread.

So im seeing CYP as code nine? If im not mistake that's the sensor inside the Distributor or attached to it. What year is the engine and what ECU does the car have?

We Need DETAILS in order to help.

Its a 96 LS with 37820-PR4-L11 for the ECU not sure what kind of ECU it is :?
I thought that becus it was a OBD2 engine it would be a OBD2 code
and i swore i looked at the ECU thread and didnt see anything below 10 :headscratch:
It was prob late [smilie=notworthy.gif] Ma bad

#323776 Its the
37820-PR4-L11

But the previous owner told me it was a 96 Integra LS swap, but i checked online and that ECU is from a 92-93 Integra :x

Could it be that the ECU is causing My high idle and check engine light?

I guess my next step is to check if i have a 92-93 Engine or 96 Engine with a 92-93 ECU :bs: [smilie=BangHead.gif]

#323874 do you think the guy kept an extra key and came and took it back or something? i know that happens sometimes...but seriously man i feel for ya...i have had so much shit stollen from me, game systems, someone even stole my homemade bong made out of a long island ice tea cup with a pen as the stem and a socket from a ratchet set as a bowl lol...i was like wtf, its not what it was worth that counts but the fact that someone took your shit, luckily i live where there are a few car thefts but its just dumb kids that party and joyride, not chop em up...but i wish you luck man, did you have insurance on it?

#323877 It couldve been the guy who sold me the sold, but who knows right.
I have insurance just not the kind to pay back for my car
The cop do have a video of my car leaving the complex though with another car on its ass out the gate!
I'll just let them do their job and hopefully find it!
