#310486 So when im driving lately, my radio randomly decides to turn off and then will come back on. Could this be due to my battery going bad or what?

#310991 As in the car battery? No. The car runs on the alternator. The battery is there to start the car up (and also filter out the "noise" and dampen the electrical system).

Most likely it's poor radio wiring. The radio is aftermarket, right?

#311005 Yes but its all wired correctly and i just pulled it to check the wiring again and its fine. Its been fine for 2 years though. And also another problem is at night, when my lights are on, they will get brighter then fade a little then get brighter again, etc etc. And when the a/c is on it will blow super hard then slow down and back and forth sometimes...ive read some stuff and i think it might be the alternator

#311584 Sounds like the regulator on your alternator is bad.

#311590 So if my regulator is bad, does that mean the whole thing has to be replaced?

#311750 Yeah. Get one from the junkyard or get lifetime warranty at Autozone.

Have fun yanking it! I used to squeeze it out through the bottom. If I still had a Civic, I'd pop the driver's side axle out of the trans first.
