I replaced my Alt. today and i put new battery cables on

i had to jump the car to get it started after i replaced the alt.
and it starts everytime, and i can run my lights and radio(my car would die yesterday when i used anything electrical)

but my battery light is still on...

so my question is how do i get my light off

ive tried the following
*charging the battery at autozone
*checked all fuses

i unplug the green plug and the light goes away and comes back when its pluged in

plz help!!!

what did you get the alternator out of or is this a brand new one? id check and make sure the 10mm bolt is tight on either end of the thick white wire (alternator and the fuse box) thats what i would say could be an issue

batt light is on due to low voltage... return that autozone garbage & hit up your local alt/starter shop they will want the core but it should only be about a 100 buck

I'd buy a used OEM alternator before a new autozone one. check local craigslist or look on ebay - there's usually some on there :thumb:

X2

any 92-95 D series alt will work and you can most likely pic one up for 25 bucks
