gauges not working properly

my fuel gauge is off, like empty is a 1/4 of a tank an full is 1/4 over full. any ideas on how to fix this?
an everyone once in a while when am driving the speedometer well drop to 0 for like 5sec. then bounce back to the speed. any ideas?
