reverse lights do not work?

my reverse lights do not work and i'm not sure why. i've checked the bulbs and all fuses. i replaced one fuse under the hood, but nothing. not even sure what the fuse was for... (does anybody had a pinout for the box in the engine bay?)

so...what could be wrong? maybe a ground somewhere? is the reverse light based on a sensor on the transmission? any help or a wiring diagram so i can trace the wiring would help lots.

If its an auto then i believe there is a reverse switch that gets hit when you are in reverse.

If not then
most likely would be faulty wiring. you can single the area out by temporarily running some wires from your fusebox to one of your lights. Switch it into reverse and see if it comes on. If it does then your wiring is bad somewhere between there and the light itself (most probable place for it to have a problem).
