wierd electrical prob

when i connect my battery, the fuel pump primes and gauges come on as if the key was in. when i unplug the 3 shock tower harness', the gauges still are on, but the fuel pump only primes when the middle plug is connected. what could this be?

are you positive that your ignition is off? sometimes keys can pull out with the ignition still on. Either way it sounds like your problem is in your ignotion. My guess is that the gauges are not conected through those harness' and that your fuel pump relay is run through the middle one. Might just check to make sure nothing is pinched under your steering wheel.
