ok so im wanting to put my battery in the trunk of hatch and would like it to go underneath the floorboard where the spare used to be, my only concern is what to about the fumes a battery produces when charged and discharged.
what does everyone else do? sealed battery box? special battery?

get a redtop. Very commonly used in race applications. worth your while. They are also sealed so no worries. Also, they last forever.

If you're into racing, even if it is a seal battery, you will have to put it in a sealed battery box. I have an optima red top, in a Moroso sealed box.

higher volt alternators as well as extreme heat can still cause the sealed batteries to gas. I think with ultima its 15+ volts. It probably wouldnt matter but just incase it would still be good to put it in a box, especially since as flyingryan said you have to for racing at the track.
I have no idea where you could get a batter as small as the one tealdx used for your car. Maybe he will chime in for you.

I've seen quite a few people relocate the battery to the driver/passenger side wheel well in fron of the tire. It's where id like to relocate mine to, but I need to find someone who makes the bracket to put it there.

Cool cool. Well I know where I can get the identicle battery that teal has but the real question was is that battery sealed? But that's good to know about the sealed box, because I am going to be doing track days often. I don't really wanna have my batter in the bumper tho just in the trunk ha. It sucks to tho because the sealed battery boxes are expensive
