OBD2 engine harness in EG

Before you flame me I did search and came up with nothing
I just done an engine swap, JDM B16a from EK into EG.

I'm in a tough decision, either:

A. Use the EK obd2 harness and wiring it in (apparently hard but possible)

B. Use the EG obd1 harness and wire up vtec and buy obd1-obd2 converter (apparently I have to change a few things like distributor)

If anyone can help I'll be greatly appreciated :)

you can repin that distributor or you can get conversion harness for it.

there is also a company ( i think rywire) that makes a plug in kit for the Vtec (& knock) too.

it would be easier to source a P30 ECU (OBD1 B16 ecu) or chipped P28 ecu.

Thanks man. I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment. I'll probably do that wiring conversion when I get the ECU and other stuff.

In the meantime I was thinking of just wiring up the OBD2 temporarily till I can source a P30 then go back to OBD1

Do you know any articles or diagrams of using OBD2 (EK) harness to EG chassis?

By what im reading on the net, no one well not many people puts a OBD2 harness in an EG. So I think i'll stick with the loom and just wire up vtec extend wires etc

yea not many people like the obd2 harness because it goes into the fire wall and other crap

obd1 just goes to the shock tower which is easier to mess with.
