How to wire a Resistor Box for low impedence injectors

When you are piecing together a turbo kit to save money, it's hard to drop a few hundred on some RC injectors. DSM 450cc's can be bought for about $50. However, you will need a resistor box to run them. A resistor box can be found for about $10. The resistor box will make the injectors the correct impedence to use with your ECU.

Here's a diagram I made:

so then you just hook up the unstriped wires to the corresponding wire

sorry i mean no disrespect.. i just dont really like the way the topic is worded... maybe call it: How to wire a Resistor Box for Peak & Hold Injectors or (low impedence injectors)

cuz bigger injectors are NOT always peak and hold.. they make up to 750cc injectors that are still saturated(and do NOT need a resistor box)

I KNOW THAT YOU KNOW THIS ALREADY.. Just probably dont want to confuse anyone who doesnt know..

just a thought..

good luck with the site!! :D

thats a good point, I should say that when using the common DSM 450cc's you will need to do this. You can get the DSM's for about $50 If you bought a set of RC's (high impedence) for a few hundred bucks, you will not have to worry about this at all - just plug them in and go.

Thanks for adding and hopefully clearing this up for someone who didn't know 8)

then put your power source wire and sensor pins back in and you should be good to go!!

1996-00 Civic
1992-00 Integra LS/GSR/ITR

Peak & Hold Injectors:
1988-91 Civic/Crx Si/HF
1990-91 Integra
1992-96 Prelude non-VTEC
1992-96 Prelude VTEC
