i have 3 ecu codes
16- fuel injector
7- tps
5- map sensor
not the cause for 2 of them is, tps is broken, map sensor well thats kinda sketchy
i ended up using the ex harness for the z6 motor and my car is a dx model. how would i solve the fuel injector and map sensor code? i tried to get some help about the extra map sensor but noone gave any information.
if any of the wiring guru's could point me in the right direction that would be sweet

check the mass on the thermostat housing.

you probably have the tps and map sensor plugs switched around. Or if have a 1992 or 93 and ur using the plug from the engine harness for the map sensor it will give u a code... use the one that is coming from inside the car.

well the thing with the map sensor is that both of them are hooked up
should i just say screw it and put my dx throttle body on and use the dx harness to save the hassle of de pinning thge harness?
and what am i supposed to check for on the thermostat housing that plug is plugged in

take it 1 step at a time. First fix the TPS or try another throttle body. Then work on the map.
So your car used to have the firewall MAP and now your EX swap has the throttle body MAP?
If so, ditch the firewall MAP and use the one on the Throttle Body.

yes it still has the map on the firewall..after i fix the tps and its still doin that should i just trace the map on the fire wall to the pins on the ecu and switch them out for the one on the tb

If you're using the EX engine harness, it should have the plug for the Throttle Body MAP, right?
It's been a while, but I can't remember if the firewall mounted MAP is wired into the engine harness or the chassis harness...
I've been told that it shouldn't make a difference which map you use, but it's worth a shot.

yea the ex harness goes to the map sensor on the throttle body, also the map on the firewall runs to the inside harness

My car was the same situation. 92 dx, firewall MAP. I kept my dx engine harness and just added the 2 wires for vtec when I swapped in a D16z6.
It was 4 years ago though and I can't remember what I did
I wanna say I ran the chassis Map plug thru the firewall to the throttle body.
I'll look at it and let you know.

soo what i ended up doing was switching out the throttle bodies for the dx model on and from doing that i dropped the mapsensor code and fuel injector code but still have the tps ....would that be a cause for it not to start? if so i mine as well just put the ex on back on and finding a dx harness
