What engine do you have first of all. "My 99 motor" doesn't tell anyone anything...

And what ECU is your stock ECU.

And what is your engine doing that makes you think it's acting funny?

And it's VTEC, not vtech.

Sorry if I come off as an ass, but we need info in order to help you.

If it's the factory engine then it's probly a y8. The p72 you have might be an OBD1 or something. That could be why the plugs arent matching up right.

well no 46K does NOT = 4600

and, a P28 limits at like 7200 if its working right, a GSR ECU will need to be chipped to run your motor correctly

You have something wrong with your engine. The ECU is limiting the engine to 4600rpm for some reason or another. It's in limp mode, as it's commonly referred to.

And yeah, you wouldn't be able to use the GSR ECU without a chip and tune.

x2 theres something causing your ecu to act like that, unless something did actually go wrong in the ecu,

the gsr ecu will start your car, but the maps and igniton timing are completly wrong, and you car will run rich... wouldnt advise driving it like that.... and the gsr ecu looks for a knock sensor wich wont let your vtec come in right anway
