Horn problemo

Ok so I got rid of my srs system completely and now im in a sorta delema since i am still using the stock steering wheel my problem is I dont really have an idea of how to wire up my horn since i found out a bit ago that it was wired into my srs system.....Anyone have any ideas??

Horn works when hooked to a battery but not into the harness since i cant seem to connect anything since i took out the srs stuff....

There is this one website where some dude made a guide for how to for swapping an aftermarket steering wheel. If you still have the little clip, you should be able to look at his pinouts and run the two wires from there.


One of the guys on here might be able to locate the link for ya. :)

I found some links but they are only to installing the jdm nonsrs steering wheel into a eg/dc.....

Can anyone find me that link that OmarG is talking about???

Ok update
Found a couple wiring diagrams on using relays and such however the problem arises that when i did it according to the diagram it still did not work.....

So still having a bit of troubles with this whole thing mainly getting the buttons on the steering wheel to activate the horn....

the harness below the dash for your srs has a plug. find a good ground for a test light and find the pin for the horn. it will honk when you find it. then run a wire from there to a tab. i made mine from the clip off a bic been. install wheel.

thanks just took a look at that harness thankfully i havent thrown anything out yet lol...i took out the whole thing but i found the wires i needed all the rest just go to the srs ecu so gonna just see about doing that.

that helped quite alot hurray horn works now that thats all over all i gotta do is replace some parts then its back for the inspection and it should pass hurray :woot:
