#114715 You can find these right on the block. just below the header to the left.

H22 Honda Accord SiR 1994-1997
H22 Honda Prelude VTEC 1992-1996
H22A Honda Prelude SiR (JDM) 1997-2001
H22A Honda Prelude 1999-2001
H22A Honda Prelude Type S (JDM) 1997-2001
H22A1 Honda Prelude 1997-1998
H22A1 Honda Prelude VTEC (USDM) 1993-1996
H22A4 Honda Prelude (USDM) 1997-2001
H22A7 Accord Euro-R 2002+

I don't think you can tell if the engine has been stolen by looking at it.

yeah well locally here the theft has escalated soo much that cops will pull any honda over, and pull motor vins if its stoilen or scretched off theyll tow it. so i dont want this motor to be stolen so i was just gonna look at the vin, and probably run a car fax or call the autotheft department

#114722 I think there should be a numer/ set o numbers on the head itself that could tell you year n stuff but not sure there should also be possibly some numbers underneath the h22 thing in the square....Id also look at the dist that should give you an idea if its a obd1 or obd2 motor....(or there should be a vin on the motor if its obd2....
