So I tried the transmission forum but only got one response to it so maybe this might help me out.
Has anyone replaced or know how to replace the shifter on a h22 civic. My shifter is sticky like it has no spring effect. The distance between gears is also really long.

you have to disconnect the cables on the shifter and just remove anything that connects the shifter to the car and use the new one or a short throw or whatever you want

Ok so I understand that the shifter and bracket is prelude. There is nothing civic related there. I just buy a new prelude shifter and do a replacement. ?? or is there more to it?

OK so I got some guys to look at it and it says I need another synchronizer on the tranny. I'm also getting forbidden so hope that turns out alright
