I read that with a full H Series swap it had more mass infront of the strut towers with how the mounts have the engine sit. I also read that the H2B Mounts do not do this which will resault in better handling.

mooze wrote:no.....h2b leans the motor foward vs its original set which is why u gap the hood. usually with a h or f they lean towards the firewall. with h2d&h2b it leans opposite towards the bumper.like so

[pictures removed for better thread veiwing]

how do u ask questions and try to correct people who have it and tell u how it iz?

Thanks for the pics always good info. I'm not sure what your asking/saying in your last sentence.

#219212 I don't mean to noob up the thread
I just want to make sure I know this info
If I understand correctly
An H2D is an H22 with a d series transmission
An H2B is an H22 with a B series transmission
Right?
If so wouldn't you need a conversion plate or so for the tranny?
Or do they actually bolt with no problems?

And could someone validate this information.

Sorry folks im just looking forward to an H22 this summer :D

yes, they use a kinda aluminum spacer. here is aan h2d to give you an idea http://www.civic-eg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12110
and trust me for the stock power of the H22 its worth it. the myth's about handling is really just myths. and if you go turbo the sky's the limit lol.

yeah h2d and h2b are basically the same things with different plates. there is a slight handling difference. the worst is the torque steer which i think is more s caused by the weight differential from the motor to tranny. the b may eliminate this a little more because of the equal length axles but its still there. as seen in my pix METHOD IS RIGHT. with the kits the h sits straight up instead of sloped.

#219258 Thank you kross and mooze
I appreciate the response.

Also would RSX axles be beneficial for this swap?
Ive heard they fit with an eg

Edit: I am swapping to H because
I dont even want to get into the B series relm
The H series are made for high performance
And high performance is what im lookin for

I too am interested in knowing which is better. Also want to know what kind of prices you guys are paying out for these kits because I have seem some upwards of 1300.oo and also heard of some as low as 550.oo for minimal parts.
