If you have a JDM h22a, how do you know which one you have?

thats a good one, i'd like to know also. maybe reading the serial under the engine code. i've haven't been able to find a site that can tell me what the serial means.

if you look on the head right below the valve cover there is like 3 round circles all with letters or numbers on them i think the third dial will tell u your year like one end of the pointer will be at a 9 the other will be at a 4 meaning you have a 94 year engine so then look at the chart and see what u got :thumb: hope this helps

im pretty sure theres a h23a from a Honda Prelude 97-01 & Honda Accord 98-02 that is dohc vtec....
and the hp is 197 and torque is 160

yea im looking into one and i need some help
the engine alone cost 1400 and i need ecu tranny and driveshafts (ithink)
what tranny and ecu should i use

HEAD STAMP. look for the code on the head...should b p13 or pde or sumthing

the H23A VTEC did not come in preludes.....accords only..non VTEC was prelude motor
